Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Good Evening Knights Families,

First of all, Congratulations to our Widget team on their Big Overtime Win! Great job boys!!

As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. We know many of you have been effected by this disease, whether it was a family member or a friend. As an Organization, the Orland Knights would like to help you honor your loved ones. We invite all players to wear pink during the rest of the games in October. Many players wear pink socks, laces, wristbands, etc. The choice is theirs.

At our next home game this Sunday will be asking for your help to raise funds for the Charity "Remember Betty". Their mission is to help minimize the financial burden associated with breast cancer for patients and survivors by providing direct financial support to them so they can focus on recovery and quality of life. The best part of this organization is that the funds go directly to the patients who feel the impact immediately.

We also realize we may have a Knights Family experiencing the impact of this disease right now. If you would like our support, please reach out to us at our email or speak to a board member this week.

To raise these funds, we are asking for every family to help donate to our bake sale this Sunday and we will sell throughout the day. We ask that you individually wrap your items and bring them over to our orange tents at the beginning of our games. We need your help to make this successful. Many families have used pink baggies in the past, or simply a clear bag with pink ribbon. However, anything you donate will be greatly appreciated! We will also have some smaller Breast Cancer awareness goods, to sell, hat will go directly to our cause.

In addition to that, we will have larger cards each player can write on to say if they are playing in honor of someone. Which will hang up during the games. If any adults would like to honor a friend or family member, You can purchase a pink card for $1.

Thank you for your support and Go Knights!
